Yr 11 – core portfolio development – one A2 page per week.  Assessment is continuous

Yr12 – Production of final outcome by December 2014

Exam requirement released in Jan 2015 for preparation work within 10 week deadline.  Completion during 10 hr exam April 2015.

Art facilities available after school hours – please arrange with teacher.

BTEC Business

(Next Generation)

Pupils will complete 3 assignments + 1 online test (multiple choice)

Drama

4 Practical controlled assessments over two years.  Moderated practical in Feb/Mar in Year 12.

LLW

All classes follow the same programme of learning which modules in Citizenship, Employability and Personal Development but there are 2 different assessment pathways:

Those who selected LLW as a GCSE option complete 2 controlled assessments and 3 exams.

 

The remainder of students follow the statutory entitlement programme and have the opportunity of completing the Level 2 Certificate in Preparation for Adult Life which is a pass/fail qualification; with a pass being equivalent to a grade ‘B’ at GCSE.

3 controlled assessments worth 60%.  These will be completed in May/June 2014, October 2014 and January 2015.

Modern Languages

(French/Irish/Spanish)

Controlled assessment (30% speaking and 30% writing)

This takes the form of 2 spoken presentations 4-6 mins in length and 2 written pieces 200-300 words each

Listening exam (20%) at the end of year 12

Reading   exam (20%) at the end of year 12

Students will be given the opportunity to practice their listening/reading skills in class as well as availing of the chance to practice the language outside of class time (listening to radio/ watching language programmes on tv/speaking and using the language as often as possible.

Moving Image Arts

Yr 11 – Assignment 1 & 2 - Two controlled assessments completed in school. (20%)
