Young Enterprise Northern Ireland recognises that the world in which our young people will live and work is ever-changing, and continually develop their programme offering to ensure that they acquire the skills they will need to become enterprising, creative and commercially aware. Photographed are some of the Year 8 students who were recently involved in the exciting Young Enterprise programme, delivered by Shauna Brolly that helped them to explore the roles of staff in their new school. The pupils worked together to identify and unlock their enterprise potential and engaged in a myriad of tasks to help ease the transition into their new surroundings.
These skills are the very foundations of our future economy, and the Northern Ireland Executive has acknowledged the value of enterprise education as part of its economic strategy through the implementation of the revised curriculum.
All Young Enterprise programmes complement the curriculum and benefit our future economy by empowering students who experience first-hand the dynamic culture of contemporary business organisations. This innovative approach is designed to kick-start our achievers’ entrepreneurial creativity, inspiring them to become future business leaders and igniting that spark that can lead to enterprise creation.
