Ulster Finals Success

Congratulations to Ellie McCurdy and Ashley McArdle -Elliot who both set new Ulster schools records and claimed Gold medals in their respective events at the Ulster Finals at the weekend.

Year 8 pupil Ashley jumped 1.51m in the mini girls High Jump event breaking the long standing previous record of 1.48m.

Year 9 pupil Ellie continued her rich vein of form with a throw of 38.13m in the Junior Girls Javelin event smashing the previous record of 35.36m.

These brilliant performances are just reward for the dedication and commitment of both girls and are also testament to the outstanding work being done in the local Athletic clubs. Maith Sibh go léir.
